I had a physical examination at the hospital this morning, and the results showed that my blood glucose level is slightly elevated. Does this mean I can no longer eat spicy foods? Can people with high blood glucose consume spicy foods?

Individuals with high blood sugar can moderately consume spicy foods. Eating spicy foods generally does not affect blood glucose levels; however, excessive consumption may irritate the gastrointestinal tract and potentially lead to gastrointestinal disorders. Patients with elevated blood sugar should primarily avoid foods high in sugar or starch, as these foods can cause blood glucose levels to rise after ingestion, thereby compromising glycemic control.
