Itching around the buttocks may be caused by hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are a relatively common anorectal condition; external hemorrhoids, in particular, can cause symptoms such as perianal moisture, itching, and a foreign-body sensation. It is recommended that you visit a reputable local hospital for evaluation, including anoscopy or other appropriate examinations, to establish a definitive diagnosis. Once diagnosed—especially if hemorrhoids are confirmed—appropriate drug therapy can be initiated promptly under your physician’s guidance.
