Dr. Li Mingchuan
Upper-left ureteral calculi with left hydronephrosis are typically managed with conservative and pharmacological treatments. If the stone is small and hydronephrosis is mild, conservative management—such as increased fluid intake and regular physical activity—may be sufficient to facilitate spontaneous stone passage. For larger stones, medications such as Urolithin Pills or Amber Litholytic Granules may be prescribed under a physician’s guidance. Should the stone fail to pass spontaneously, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) at a hospital is indicated.
