What should I do for mouth ulcers and cheek pain?
Disease description:
I have severe oral ulcers, accompanied by soreness and tenderness in my cheeks—so much so that I can’t even eat or speak. I’d like to know what to do about oral ulcers causing cheek pain.
Oral ulcers are primarily caused by deficiencies in vitamin B and vitamin C or emotional stress (e.g., anger). For daily care, maintain good oral hygiene, frequently rinse the mouth with lukewarm saline solution, and keep the oral mucosa moist to prevent dryness. Women should pay special attention to rest before and after menstruation, maintain a positive mood, avoid excessive fatigue, and drink plenty of water. To reduce the likelihood of recurrent aphthous ulcers, dietary adjustments are also important.
Mumps causes pain and swelling in the cheeks (parotid region). Treatment may include antibiotic therapy for inflammation; if necessary, symptomatic analgesic therapy may also be administered.
