Oral lichen planus can be treated with topical glucocorticoid ointments as prescribed by a physician; intralesional corticosteroid injections may also be administered. Additionally, oral lichen planus may be associated with emotional factors; therefore, maintaining a positive and optimistic mindset in daily life—and avoiding significant emotional fluctuations—is recommended. Dietarily, patients should consume light, bland foods and avoid spicy foods.
