What Are the Early Symptoms of Acute Leukemia?
Disease description:
I’ve been coughing frequently lately and keep suspecting I have leukemia. Doctor, what are the early symptoms of acute leukemia?
Hello, acute leukemia is a malignant clonal disorder of hematopoietic stem cells. At onset, abnormal blast and immature cells (leukemic cells) proliferate excessively in the bone marrow, accumulate there, and suppress normal hematopoiesis. These leukemic cells also widely infiltrate extramedullary organs such as the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes. Clinically, patients present with symptoms including anemia, bleeding, infection, and organ infiltration. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life.
