How to effectively manage redness on both sides of the cheeks
Disease description:
My cheeks have appeared red on both sides over the past few days. What is the best way to manage or treat this bilateral cheek redness?
Redness on both sides of the cheeks:
- If caused by mumps, patients may take antiviral medications—such as ribavirin granules—under a physician’s guidance, along with cold compresses as adjunctive therapy.
- If due to allergic dermatitis, antihistamines—such as desloratadine tablets or levocetirizine hydrochloride capsules—may be administered to alleviate the above symptoms.
