Can a tooth with pulp polyp pain be extracted?
Disease description:
I don’t know why a pulp polyp has developed, and it’s causing some pain. Can a tooth with a painful pulp polyp be extracted?
Pulp polyp is a chronic proliferative inflammation. In most cases, it remains unchanged after a series of treatments. In some teeth, a pulp polyp develops but remains relatively small, with minimal damage to the dental hard tissues. If no periapical changes are observed, root canal therapy can be performed. However, if the inflammation spreads to the apex, it may lead to pulp necrosis and periapical inflammation, resulting in periapical bone resorption.
