What should I do if there are lumps at the cervical os?
Disease description:
Today, I went to the hospital for a physical examination, and the results showed a lump at the cervical os. Could you please advise how this should be managed?
A lump at the cervical os may be caused by a cervical cyst, in which case treatment with medications such as Guizhi Fuling Capsules may be prescribed under a physician’s guidance. If the lump is due to genital warts (condyloma acuminatum), topical application of imiquimod cream—under medical supervision—may help alleviate symptoms. If pharmacological treatment proves ineffective, physical removal methods such as laser ablation or liquid nitrogen cryotherapy may be employed. Additionally, maintaining local hygiene and avoiding unprotected or unhygienic sexual activity are essential preventive measures.
