Can uterine fibroids cause pain in the genital area?
Disease description:
I was recently diagnosed with uterine fibroids. Over the past few days, I’ve experienced pain in the genital area. Can uterine fibroids cause genital pain?
Pain in the genital area is generally not closely related to uterine fibroids. Small uterine fibroids often cause no obvious symptoms and may go unnoticed, only being detected incidentally during medical examinations. However, depending on their location and size, some uterine fibroids may produce various symptoms, including: increased menstrual bleeding, abnormal vaginal bleeding, increased vaginal discharge, pressure-related symptoms, and lower abdominal pain.
