What are the symptoms of vaginitis during the perimenopausal period?
Disease description:
I’ve been diagnosed with perimenopausal vaginitis and feel a bit anxious—what are the symptoms of perimenopausal vaginitis?
Perimenopausal syndrome–associated vaginitis presents with symptoms such as vaginal mucosal hyperemia and increased vaginal discharge. For patients experiencing recurrent urinary tract infections and vaginitis, localized treatment should be tailored according to the underlying cause. Patients should temporarily avoid “heat-inducing” foods (e.g., crab), astringent and sour foods, and greasy or deep-fried foods (e.g., fried dough sticks, cream). Spicy foods should also be avoided.
