When cervical cysts are accompanied by increased vaginal discharge and an unpleasant odor, vaginal irrigation should be performed first, followed by pharmacological treatment. In general, if the vaginal discharge is normal, microwave or laser therapy may be selected. The choice of medication depends on the patient’s age, childbearing history, and severity of the condition. Physical therapies—including microwave, cryotherapy, laser, and radiofrequency ablation (e.g., Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure, LEEP)—are also available options. In cases of acute inflammatory infection, oral antibiotics—such as cephalosporins or metronidazole—may be prescribed.
