Is LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) a good option for cervical cysts?
Disease description:
My mother was diagnosed with a cervical cyst, and I’m very worried. Is LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) a good treatment option for cervical cysts?
LLETZ (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) is generally not recommended, as this condition is typically a physiological change and does not lead to disorders such as abnormal menstrual bleeding, abnormal vaginal discharge, or cancer. However, if the cyst is large, LLETZ may be considered for surgical removal. After surgery, patients should rest in bed adequately, engage in appropriate physical activity, avoid exposure to cold, and prevent colds. Sexual intercourse must be avoided for one month postoperatively.
