Child sneezing with clear nasal discharge
Disease description:
After returning home from work, I noticed that my son has symptoms of sneezing and a runny nose with clear nasal discharge. What could be causing this?
This condition typically occurs due to the child being chilled or developing nasal inflammation; therefore, diagnosis and treatment must be tailored according to the patient’s specific circumstances. Sneezing caused by the common cold is often accompanied by clear nasal discharge; in such cases, ensure the infant drinks plenty of warm water, maintain warmth, and administer pediatric cold medication. Keep the indoor temperature between 25°C and 27°C. If allergic rhinitis is suspected, it is advisable to visit a hospital to identify the allergen(s); avoid exposure to the identified allergen(s) as much as possible on a daily basis, and take oral antihistamines if symptoms are severe.
