Typically, you can use a clean cotton cloth soaked in warm water—wring it out until it is half-dry—then apply it as a warm compress to both sides of the child’s nose. After the warm compress, gently massage the Yingxiang acupoints (located on either side of the nostrils) with your fingertips to help relieve nasal congestion. Additionally, drinking honey water may help alleviate symptoms, as honey has heat-clearing and lung-moistening properties and can also reduce nasal stuffiness.
