When coughing has not fully resolved, avoid consuming heavy or rich foods at dinner and afterward. Overeating at dinner should be avoided; instead, opt for light, easily digestible options such as thin congee, strained congee, or rice porridge, and refrain from strongly flavored or overly seasoned foods.
