This condition is typically caused by factors such as dry air. Coughing can damage the pharyngeal mucosa and lead to mucosal exudation and bleeding. In such cases, anti-inflammatory medications and antipyretic-detoxifying agents may be administered to the child. Since a child’s pharyngeal region is not yet fully developed—particularly under dry atmospheric conditions—the pharynx becomes prone to drying, making capillaries more susceptible to injury during coughing, thereby causing the aforementioned symptoms.
