Symptoms of Pediatric Brain Nerve Injury
Disease description:
My son has been crying and fussing frequently over the past few days, and he often rubs his head. What are the symptoms of pediatric brain nerve injury?
This condition typically arises due to generalized hypotonia (decreased muscle tone) and reduced spontaneous movement—both indicative of diminished muscular strength. Abnormalities usually become apparent within approximately one month. Distinctive abnormal postures are observed. Due to brain injury, abnormal muscle tone manifests early—such as the “scissor” posture (adducted, extended legs), “frog-leg” posture (excessive hip abduction and flexion), or “inverted-U” posture—and these can be identified within the first month after birth. Significant delays in motor development are also evident.
