Chatting with a colleague, they mentioned that their child has mild indigestion and asked me if I knew of any effective medications. What medications are available for pediatric indigestion?

Commonly used medications include compound digestive enzyme granules, pepsin granules, and pancreatin tablets. These are indicated for treating pediatric dyspepsia caused by digestive enzyme deficiency—such as abdominal distension, nausea, and decreased appetite. If dyspepsia results from intestinal infection, antibiotics, anti-infective agents, and intestinal mucosal protective drugs should be administered. If the child’s dyspepsia is due to improper feeding, appropriate adjustments to the diet are recommended.
