What Are the Symptoms When a Baby Develops Food Stagnation?
Disease description:
My son hasn’t been eating much lately—could he have food stagnation? What symptoms does a baby exhibit when experiencing food stagnation?
When an infant develops food stagnation, symptoms such as abdominal distension and loss of appetite may occur. The infant will exhibit obvious abdominal distension and discomfort, along with mild facial flushing. Additionally, the stool will have a distinct sour, foul odor; bowel movements may be delayed, and stool volume may increase. Decreased appetite, aversion to food, or even refusal to eat may also occur. It is recommended to adjust the infant’s diet and reduce portion sizes.
