Dr. Jiang Weimin
Hepatitis C is contagious and can be transmitted to others. It is a liver disease caused by infection with the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which has relatively high transmissibility. Without proper protective measures, transmission to others occurs easily. However, normal daily contact—such as talking, hugging, sharing meals, or using the same toilet—does not pose a risk of HCV infection. With appropriate, standardized treatment, patients with hepatitis C can achieve full recovery.
