I’ve had itchy skin for some time now, and the itching worsens after bathing at night. Could this be due to a nutrient deficiency?

Skin itching may be associated with deficiencies in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as iron and manganese. Deficiencies in these nutrients can lead to dry, dehydrated skin, which in turn may cause itching.

Regularly consuming vitamin-rich vegetables and fruits, and applying moisturizer after bathing, can help. Certain medical conditions—such as eczema, urticaria (hives), and tinea corporis (ringworm)—may also cause skin itching; appropriate treatment of these underlying conditions typically alleviates the itching.
