Unless otherwise indicated, patients with ganglion cysts can be treated using the following approaches:
1. If the cyst is relatively small, gentle massage may help promote gradual absorption of the cyst.
2. If the cyst is relatively large, surgical excision is typically required.
In daily life, patients should wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes. After surgery, adequate bed rest is recommended, and prolonged walking should be avoided.
