Cervical polyp bleeding does not necessarily indicate malignancy. Although cervical polyps carry a potential risk of malignant transformation, the probability is generally low. Bleeding from cervical polyps is relatively common and is most often benign. Cervical polyps typically develop as a result of chronic cervical inflammation over an extended period. Symptoms may include increased menstrual flow, postcoital bleeding, or shortened menstrual cycles. Surgical removal is usually the recommended treatment.
