Can gastric diseases cause oral ulcers?
Disease description:
I developed mouth ulcers a few days ago. My wife said they were caused by a stomach disorder, so I’d like to know: Can stomach disorders cause mouth ulcers?
Gastric disorders may cause oral ulcers. Such conditions can damage the gastric mucosa and impair normal gastrointestinal function, thereby reducing the body’s ability to digest and absorb nutrients. This may lead to insufficient intake of vitamins, trace elements, and other essential nutrients, compromising oral mucosal health and potentially triggering oral ulcers. Patients are advised to maintain regular, timely meals three times daily and to abstain from smoking and alcohol consumption.
