Can people with hyperlipidemia eat white-flowered vegetable (Cleome viscosa)?
Disease description:
During a routine physical examination, I discovered that I have hyperlipidemia. Today, my family cooked cauliflower at home—can people with hyperlipidemia eat cauliflower?
People with hyperlipidemia can generally consume cauliflower. Cauliflower is rich in vitamin C, which helps nourish the body, and its fat content is relatively low—thus it does not adversely affect hyperlipidemia. During hyperlipidemia, the diet should primarily consist of light, low-fat foods; high-fat, greasy foods should be avoided as much as possible, and smoking and alcohol consumption must be discontinued.
