When colonic lipomas are small in size, they typically do not cause specific symptoms. However, larger lipomas may lead to abdominal distension and pain. Most patients experience changes in bowel frequency or stool shape, or alternating constipation and diarrhea. Additionally, some patients may pass blood-streaked stools or black, tarry (melena) stools. Furthermore, systemic symptoms such as fatigue, weight loss, and anemia may also occur.
