Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) associated with coronary artery disease (CAD) are treated with antiarrhythmic medications. Metoprolol, a commonly used beta-blocker, effectively suppresses PVCs. Additionally, traditional Chinese patent medicines such as “Wen Xin Ke Li” (Stabilizing Heart Granules) may be used as adjunctive therapy. Oral antiplatelet agents and lipid-lowering drugs are also prescribed for CAD management. For patients with more severe CAD, interventional therapy—such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)—may be considered. Once myocardial blood supply and oxygenation improve, PVC symptoms typically subside gradually.
