What should I do if there is a large amount of hard earwax inside my ear?
Disease description:
When I went outside to have my ears cleaned, the person said the earwax in my ears was quite hard and difficult to remove. So I’d like to know what to do if the earwax inside the ear is very hard and abundant.
When earwax (cerumen) in the ear canal is particularly hard and abundant, it must not be forcibly removed, as this may damage the ear canal. Instead, visit a hospital and have a physician carefully extract it using specialized forceps designed for this purpose. If the cerumen is too hard to remove directly, first instill a cerumen-softening solution into the ear to soften it; afterward, the physician or outpatient nurse will manage its removal.
