What are the small skin growths on the neck?
Disease description:
I noticed many small, grain-like growths on my neck while showering—what could these be?
The small skin growths on your neck may be skin tags. Skin tags are benign, proliferative lesions commonly found on the neck, armpits, and other areas; they may gradually increase in number over time and can be removed using laser therapy. Alternatively, they could be filiform warts. Filiform warts are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and are therefore viral in nature. To prevent irritation and proliferation of additional warts, avoid scratching or rubbing them. Treatment options include laser ablation or topical medications.
