Hello, Baiji (Bletilla striata) has a bitter, sweet, and astringent taste and is slightly cold in nature. It enters the Lung, Liver, and Stomach meridians and functions to astringe and arrest bleeding, reduce swelling, and promote tissue regeneration. When processed into powder, Baiji can be used to treat pulmonary hemorrhage and gastric bleeding. It may be administered orally mixed with plain boiled water or rice gruel. Clinically, it is commonly employed for hemoptysis due to pulmonary tuberculosis and gastrointestinal bleeding caused by gastric or duodenal ulcers. For traumatic bleeding, Baiji powder—alone or combined with calcined gypsum powder—may be applied topically to the affected area. Additionally, Baiji powder is indicated for carbuncles and sores accompanied by swelling and pain, as well as for chapped hands and feet. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you a pleasant and healthy life!
