The appearance of facial telangiectasia (visible red blood vessels) may be genetically influenced. It can also occur when ambient temperature rises or during emotional excitement, both of which accelerate cutaneous blood circulation and lead to telangiectasia. However, it may also result from prolonged use of corticosteroid-containing skincare products, which can induce capillary dilation in the skin.
