Disease description:

My child has just started elementary school, and during the school’s physical examination, my child was found to have myopia. The school notified me of this finding. I would like to consult with you: How can a child’s myopia be reversed or vision restored?

Glasses are generally required. For elementary school students exhibiting the above symptoms, non-surgical correction—namely, wearing glasses—is the only treatment option. Frame glasses may be selected. If the child can properly care for their eyes, contact lenses may also be considered. Improper eye use or prolonged visual strain can lead to ciliary muscle spasm, worsening myopia; therefore, maintaining good ocular hygiene is especially important.
