Does periostitis require replacement with an artificial bone graft?
Disease description:
I have periostitis. A friend told me that after being diagnosed with periostitis, I need to replace the affected bone with an artificial bone graft. Is artificial bone grafting required for periostitis?
Periostitis generally does not require replacement with a prosthetic pelvis. Under a physician’s guidance, patients with periostitis may apply Voltaren gel topically to alleviate symptoms, or take oral medications such as ibuprofen or sustained-release diclofenac sodium capsules for treatment. During treatment, adequate rest is essential; excessive physical exertion must be avoided, as it may exacerbate the condition.
