Can hyperthyroidism be cured?
Disease description:
I don’t know what caused my hyperthyroidism; this condition has left me extremely anxious and distressed. Can hyperthyroidism be cured?
This condition is treatable. The most common treatment is pharmacotherapy, which typically lasts approximately two years. A drawback of drug therapy is its relatively high recurrence rate. If pharmacotherapy proves ineffective, surgical intervention at a hospital is required. During treatment, it is advisable to supplement with appropriate amounts of vitamins, consume less spicy and greasy food, and reduce iodine intake.
