Hypothyroidism may cause yellowing of the soles of the feet. Patients may exhibit a range of symptoms, including sallow and withered hands and feet, as well as soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees. These manifestations primarily stem from a decreased basal metabolic rate and insufficient circulation of Qi and blood. During treatment, it is essential to regulate one’s emotions—avoid letting depression, pessimism, irritability, or other negative emotional states interfere with therapy. When patients experience low mood, appropriate psychological counseling should be provided.
