Zhongsheng Pian is effective for pharyngitis. Its main ingredients include dandelion, magnetized refined salt, bupleurum, and isatis root, among others. It possesses antipyretic, detoxifying, blood-cooling, blood-activating, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, and can be used to treat acute and chronic enteritis. It is also indicated for upper respiratory tract infections, acute tonsillitis, suppurative tonsillitis, and furuncles. However, it may cause adverse effects; individuals with spleen-stomach deficiency may experience nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea after taking it.
