How is L4-L5 intervertebral disc herniation treated?
Disease description:
I’ve been experiencing dizziness frequently lately. After a hospital examination, I was diagnosed with an L4–L5 intervertebral disc herniation. How should this be treated?
L4-L5 intervertebral disc herniation can be improved through traction therapy, yielding relatively favorable treatment outcomes. If significant pain symptoms occur, analgesic medications—such as diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets—may be used. Additionally, neurotrophic agents like mecobalamin tablets should be administered. For patients with severe disease, surgical treatment via nerve root decompression may be indicated.
