What are the symptoms of chronic gastric perforation?
Disease description:
I experienced severe stomach pain recently and was diagnosed with chronic gastric perforation after examination. However, I haven’t had any noticeable symptoms otherwise. Could you please explain what the symptoms of chronic gastric perforation are?
Patients with chronic gastric perforation typically experience severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Chronic gastric perforation is primarily caused by gastric ulcers; in some patients, binge eating and overeating lead to increased gastric acid and pepsin levels in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in gastric perforation. Nausea and vomiting may also occur, though these symptoms are usually not severe. However, if the patient develops intestinal paralysis, vomiting may become more pronounced.
