Patients who have undergone gastropexy (or gastric perforation repair) require daily intravenous nutritional support. For individuals with gastric ulcers, abdominal radiography and gastroscopy are typically performed to assess the size and severity of the perforation and to guide treatment decisions. Small gastric perforations may be managed conservatively, whereas large perforations generally necessitate surgical intervention. Gastric ulcers should be treated promptly; patients must avoid cold, spicy, or otherwise irritating foods. Meals should be well-structured—smaller portions, more frequent meals, and low-residue foods are recommended. Binge eating and overeating should be avoided. Smoking and alcohol consumption must be discontinued, and intake of coffee and tea should be minimized.
