Gastroenteritis may cause left lower abdominal pain. Patients with gastroenteritis often experience pain in the left lower abdomen, typically described as radiating pain. Additionally, changes in stool consistency may occur—such as loose or mushy stools—and occasional abdominal distension may also be present. During treatment, patients should avoid fatty foods.
