Is a lymph node tumor on the neck serious?
Disease description:

Lymph node tumors in the neck are relatively serious. Lymph node tumors occurring anywhere in the body warrant prompt medical attention, as malignant lymphomas can readily metastasize and spread, posing a potential threat to life. If a lymph node tumor is detected in the neck, immediate evaluation at a hospital is strongly recommended. Benign tumors may be managed with medications or other conservative treatments, whereas early-stage malignant tumors are often treated surgically via resection.
