How to Treat Myopia
Disease description:
My myopia is approximately -2.00 diopters. Recently, due to excessive eye strain, my myopia has worsened, affecting my daily life. How can myopia be treated?
To treat myopia (nearsightedness), one option is wearing eyeglasses with frames. Properly prescribed glasses help correct the eye’s refractive error and alleviate ocular fatigue, thereby improving myopia. In addition, contact lenses may also be used for vision correction. If myopia continues to progress, refractive surgical options—such as laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) or implantable collamer lens (ICL) surgery—may be considered.
