Sanjiu Weitai can be used to treat esophagitis; it exerts a warming effect on the stomach and serves as an adjunctive therapy. Common symptoms of esophagitis include acid reflux, nausea, and gastric pain. Monotherapy with a single drug is insufficient for definitive treatment. Patients are advised to take medications—under physician guidance—that suppress gastric acid secretion, enhance gastric motility, and protect the gastric mucosa.
