Why Does Acute Gastroenteritis Cause Generalized Body Aches?
Disease description:
I’ve had acute gastroenteritis these past two days, and I’ve also been experiencing generalized body aches. Why does acute gastroenteritis cause whole-body muscle pain?
Acute gastroenteritis can cause generalized body aches, which may result from inflammatory infections caused by bacteria or viruses, or may be attributable to elevated body temperature. Typically, acute gastroenteritis presents with symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. In severe cases, it may lead to electrolyte imbalances, which can also contribute to generalized body aches.
