Coca-Cola cannot treat kidney stones. As a carbonated, stimulating beverage, prolonged and excessive consumption of Coca-Cola may elevate blood sugar levels and promote the formation of alkaline stones, thereby worsening the condition. When suffering from kidney stones, patients should drink ample amounts of plain water to facilitate stone expulsion. Alternatively, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) can be performed at a hospital.
