What causes vaginal bleeding after uterine prolapse?
Disease description:
Symptoms of uterine prolapse have appeared, accompanied by vaginal bleeding. I’m unsure what’s happening—why does vaginal bleeding (spotting) occur after uterine prolapse?
Posterior uterine prolapse with vaginal spotting is typically caused by friction—such as between the cervix and surrounding skin or other tissues. In severe cases of uterine prolapse, surgical repair or mesh reinforcement may be required. Patients with uterine prolapse commonly experience low back pain, difficulty walking, and discomfort when squatting; in advanced stages, they may feel a sensation of pelvic pressure or heaviness in the lower abdomen. In severe cases, the prolapsed tissue cannot be manually reduced, thereby impairing the patient’s mobility.
