What disease causes bleeding when teeth are suctioned?
Disease description:
My teeth have felt slightly uncomfortable recently, and there’s a rather unusual symptom: they bleed when I suck on them. What condition could cause bleeding upon suction?
Polyps, etc. When a gingival polyp appears near a dental caries cavity—or when a pulp polyp forms within the carious cavity—the number of capillaries increases and the fibrous tissue becomes more fragile, leading to bleeding during sucking or chewing. Gingival bleeding primarily results from the accumulation of dental calculus (tartar) and plaque around the gingiva; professional cleaning by a dentist is required to remove these irritants—such as calculus and plaque—from the gingival area.
