Frequent hamstring strains occur due to inadequate or unsystematic management, resulting in incomplete muscle healing. At this stage, the injured muscle remains lax, or scar tissue is still maturing—lacking the normal tone and strength of healthy muscle. Consequently, recurrent strain is highly likely during subsequent physical activity, potentially leading to chronic musculotendinous injury and diminished protective capacity in surrounding tissues.
