Trauma, bone disorders, and other conditions can all cause shin pain. The skin over the anterior aspect of the tibia is relatively thin; thus, severe trauma to this area can lead to significant hyperemia and edema, which in turn irritate the periosteum and surrounding nerve tissues, resulting in marked pain. In daily life, avoid excessive physical strain, ensure adequate preparation before exercise, and refrain from suddenly engaging in intense physical activity to prevent fatigue-related pain.
